Video blogging for Gharials

Only about 1,000 gharials, are believed to live in the wild in India’s Chambal and Yamuna rivers.

In an effort to understand the endangered Indian gharial and also to save it from extinction, scientists at the Gharial Conservation Park in Lucknow are using small video cameras for “bio-logging”.

They believe that these cameras will lead to better understanding of the reptiles’ habitat and life cycle.
